Cooperation in IT


The National Center of Information Technologies (NCIT) was founded by a Federal State Unitary Enterprise (FSUE) "Rosoboronexport", a private "Oboronpromstroy" managing company as well as a state enterprise owned by the "Defence order Federal Agency"

The NCIT supervisory board chairman is the "Rosoboronexport" general director S.V. Chemezov. The members of the board are the "Defence order Federal Agency" director S.A.Maev, S.A., the head of the "Kurchatovsky Institute" Russian scientific center, academician E.P. Velikhov E.P. as well as the representatives of some other institutions.

At the present time the NCIT is engaged in providing conceptual and technological support to the IT-technologies needed in the key sectors of domestic economy.

In the list of top priority tasks there are designing of the Russian IT-industry development conception, development of a model solution of the industrial automatic management considered to serve a basis for a national system of industrial regulation.

The NCIT management is determined to establish regional centers of IT development and adoption.


One of the NCIT strategic directions is to systematically substitute the foreign made hardware with domestic one, first of all in the crucial sectors of the national economy. And this stipulates wide diversity of the NCIT activities.

For the moment the NCIT keeps in progress the following projects:

• Developing of a National Webcasting System
• Designing of a domestic operating system
• Developing of a domestic resource management system
• Designing of a domestic one channel data, voice and video transmission system.
• Developing of the video conference systems
• Designing of the elements for the CALS technologies
• Development of microelectronic devices with ultra high density of elements layout on the basis of advanced domestic technologies.
• Development of super platforms as well as high efficiency microprocessor sets.
• Development of the moderating methods for designing and creating of complex prototypical systems.
• Development of data base system regulation.

Along with the above projects realization an active work on developing of wide line of products is carried out the below listed products including:

• Linux XP national operating system (in a great demand in the world market)
• Corvus national system of resource management (enterprise/holding/ industry/system of public management). The product is certified by IBM and adopted in some major state bodies.
• Webcasting portal
• Triple Play pilot access devices, a product line of Media Courier class for IP television (including high-definition TV, VoD, VoIP and other services).

For the implementation of a number of its projects NCIT setting up strategic consortiums with the organizations like "CNII EISU" (the leading research center under the "Defence order federal Agency"), the RAS "Institute of Informatics problems", "Oboronpromstroy" company and many others. This helps to cope with a wide range of tasks in the field of IT at any level of projects implementation especially on the federal level.

The NCIT constantly extends the sphere of its activity by involving new companies, teams and particular experts into collaboration. This ensures enhancement both in volume and in level of complexity of the projects under realization.
