X All-Siberian Innovation Forum


The city of Tomsk located in the very heart of Russia will host the X All-Siberian Innovation Forum with International Participation on October 10 to 12, 2007. The All-Siberian Innovation Forum is an annual event that attracts experts in science and technology, education and innovation from Siberian and Far East regions, Moscow, St.Petersburg and other cities. The Innovation Forum always attracts representatives of the European, American, Asian countries. There’s a reason behind it. Tomsk does implement the innovation system that will ensure the best use of the Russian science and technology assets for developing not only Russian but global economy. At the Forum everyone can study Tomsk experience of implementing the Regional Innovation Strategy, establish business contacts, find out what is going on in the innovation sphere at Russian federal and regional level. This year the Forum program will also present and discuss the following topics:

• analysis of the experience of the Tomsk Region Innovation Strategy implementation, the execution of the Interdepartmental program "The development and the realization of the territorial innovative development model on the example of the Tomsk Region in 2006-2008" and the regional target program "The development of the innovation activity on the territory of the Tomsk Region in 2006-2008";
• analysis of the interaction between state and regional innovation systems based on the international practice;
• presentation of the regional business-incubators network, the experience in the field of business-incubation and creation of the innovation business support infrastructure;
• presentation of the basic technological spheres and projects of the residents and potential residents of the Tomsk Research and Innovation Special Economic Zone;
• the mechanisms for financing innovative and educational projects, including interaction with the Tomsk Venture Fund, banks and other financial institutions;
• the experience and impediments for promotion of the innovative products to the international markets and search for the international investors and partners;
• personnel training for the research and innovation activity in the Russian regions, experience in the training of the teams of regional specialists for innovation management;
• use of Tomsk experience and methods of innovation systems development in other regions of Russia.

During the Forum there will be also discussion of the work experience with the projects-winners of the "START" and "TEMP" programs and with potential residents of the Tomsk Special Economic Zone, discussion of the results of work of the innovation infrastructure organizations with participation of experts from international funds and programs.
