The quality improvement in health care delivery system is being campaigned by Quality Council of India and Institute of Quality - CII by conducting awareness training programmes and to provide guidance to hospitals to achieve accreditation. The initiative of accredatation is to be taken up by hospitals sooner or later if they wish to take a bite in the pie of expected growth of 13% annually, as healthcare industry is expected to grow in India from 20 billion to 60 billion US dollars by 2010.
