CII-IQ's 8th Anniverssary Day or 9th May

CII Institute of Quality (CII-IQ) shall be celebrating its 8th Anniversary Day on 9th May 2009, at the Institute's premises in Bangalore.

CII-IQ which was established in 1999, continues to provide education, training and counseling services to enhance Quality and Competitiveness of the Indian Industry. The Institute’s services encompass Training, Counselling, Assessment, Study Missions, Seminars and Conferences, Awards and Recognition programmes. Over these years, CII-IQ has had over 210,000 participants, spanning the entire spectrum of management, from the Manufacturing, Service, Education and Governance sectors benefiting from its services.

This year too, CII-IQ shall be honouring distinguished personalities for their commitment and contribution to the field of Quality.

Mr G Madhavan Nair
, Chairman, ISRO, Mr B Muthuraman, Managing Director, TATA Steel and Mr S Viji, Managing Director, Brakes India Limited and Trustee, Kuruvila Jacob Memorial Educational Trust, have been chosen for felicitation this year.

CII-IQ ANNIVERSARY DAY LECTURE, by Mr. Rajiv Gandhi, Chief General Manager (Production), Maruti Suzuki Ltd. will touch upon the current economic slowdown and the systemic process being adopted to address it.

The Quality journey in CII was initiated in the early 1980s, by Dr V Krishnamurthy (currently the Chairman of the National Manufacturing Competitiveness Council) and spearheaded by a small team of CEOs from Industry. CII Institute of Quality works towards Quality and Competitiveness in not only the manufacturing sector of Indian Industry but  also Quality in the Service Industry, Education and Governance so that everyone in India experiences the benefits of adhering to the quality principles in every aspect of life.

On this occasion, CII-IQ will also launch the following :
  • CII-SHELL Road Safety Initiative &
  • Web-based Business Excellence Self Assessment Tool
