Workshop on Assessment for Business Excellence

Mr S K Kakkar, Principal Counsellor and Head CII Institute of Quality and Mr P Girish, Principal Counsellor conducted this programme which was attended by 15 delegates from 6 companies from the Southern Region.

The organisations represented included Bosch Limited, CMC Ltd., Excelsior Global Ltd., Infosys BPO Ltd., IP Rings and Prodapt.

Participants underwent an appreciation of the Business Excellence Model, understanding the Criteria for Excellence and how to evaluate Excellence in Business Organisations.


QMS Lead Auditor Course on ISO 9001:2000

As part of compliance to ISO 9000 Quality Management System, organisations need to conduct regular Quality System Audits carried out by trained Auditors. The course fulfils the requirements for qualifying as Auditors/Lead Auditors to the IRCA Scheme (IRCA 602). The Course also qualifies for QMS auditor certification with NRBPT (National Registration Board for Personnel & Training), a Board set up by the Quality Council of India (QCI).

Participants who underwent this course were qualified to:
  • Satisfy the training requirements for IRCA certification to all grades of Quality Management System (QMS) Auditors
  • Plan and conduct audits against ISO 9001: 2000 Standards
  • Understand and apply the 8 principles of quality management to design an effective and efficient system for own organization
  • Understand and apply the process management approach

15 representatives from organisations such as ADC Krone Communications, Corborundum Universal, DEUTSche Network Services, DISA India, Godrej & Boyce Mfg Co., Greaves Cotton, Hindustan Latex, Royal Enfield, SAP India and Tamilnadu Petroproducts benefitted through participation in this 5-day Course.

Successful participants were also issued certificates recognised by IRCA and NRBPT which are valid for three years for the purpose of auditor certification by NRBPT and IRCA.
