The following Training Programmes were organised from CII IQ during June 2007
Six Sigma Black Belt (Level I) Course : 1st Module : 21-23 June, Bangalore
The month of June 2007 saw a fresh batch of Six Sigma Black Belt course beginning. Six Sigma approach is being widely used all over the world for reduction in process variation and waste elimination. A large number of organizations are using six sigma concept to reduce
- reduce rejection, scrap and rework
- reduce customer complaints
- reduce field failures
- optimize processes and to
- set appropriate tolerances
25 participants from 15 organisations took part in this First level BB Course and training which is to be conducted in 5 modules over a 6 month period.
The faculty for this programme was Mr Ram Narayan who is a Mechanical Engineer and a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration. He is a Six Sigma Master Black Belt and has wide experience in Industry.
Workshop on Developing & Auditing HACCP Plans : ISO 22000: 14-16 June : Bangalore
This exclusive and focused workshop is designed to help participants enhance their understanding and implementation know-how of the ISO 22000 standard while also improving their updation of auditing skills. This 3-day workshop was held in Bangalore from 14-16 June. Representatives from organizations like MTR Foods; Kamat; Fantasy Foods; Shetron, Global Calcium, Valley View International and others participated.
Workshop on Producing Zero Defect thru Statistical Techniques (MSA&SPC) : 27-28 June, Bangalore
A 2-day Workshop on the above subject was held on 27-28 June at Bangalore and addressed different statistical methods used for evaluation and analyzing the capability of measurement systems as well as contributing the manufacturing process variations to achieve zero defects in a mass production environment. A batch of 25 people attended and benefited from this programme from 13 member organizations from the Public and Private Sectors. The participants also include 2 representatives from Nepal.
Appreciation Programme on Toyota Production Systems : 26 June : Madurai
A one-day Appreciation Programme on TPS was conducted in Madurai. The 4Ps viz. Philosophy, Processes, People& Partners and Problem Solving were weaved into 14 guiding principles of the Toyota Way . Concepts like JIT, TPS, Takt, Single piece flow, Kanban, Heijunka, Importance of visual control, Andon, Work Practices, Partnership Approach, People practices etc. were discussed and debated. 28 people from 15 different organizations participated in this useful programme.
