Workshop on Accreditation Criteria for Inspection Bodies

CII-IQ in association with Quality Council of India organized a one-day Workshop on Accreditation Criteria for Inspection Bodies. The workshop aimed to generate understanding of the various Management and technical requirements for Inspection Bodies enunciated in ISO 17020. A critical aspect discussed was maintenance of impartiality, which has become a key issue globally for independence of conformity results. The programme also included a presentation by the Quality Council of India on the Accreditation Scheme and the prospects of its adoption by various user agencies. There were 22 participants from 17 companies.

Workshop on Assessment for Excellence
The faculty for this programme were Mr S K Kakkar and Mr P Girish. There were 30 participants from 13 organisations. Non member companies' participation were from Max New York Life Insurance Co Ltd., Mumbai and Dhamm Steel Services Pvt Ltd., Mumbai.
The general feedback of the participants was a dire need of a residential facility at CII IQ, which could add more value to their learnings, by way of extended interactions with other team members, within the stress free environment of CII-IQ. Another suggestion was to reduce the course duration to 3 days.
CII-IQ is well underway in creating a residential infrastructure in the IQ premises in Bangalore.

Mr Shikhar Jain and Dr Manish, faculty members from CII-ITC Centre (EMD) conducted this programme which was attended by 13 participants from 9 organisations.
