The following Training Programmes were organised from CII IQ during July-August 2007


10 - 13 July 2007: Hotel Intercontinental, New Delhi
Workshop on Business Excellence

CII Institute of Quality organised a four-day workshop (non – residential) on Business Excellence on at New Delhi. The Workshop was aimed at developing skills for assessing the effectiveness of various management approaches and their deployment for achieving Excellence. The course was designed based on training material and case study from European Foundation for Quality Management.

The Objectives of the workshop was to get an integrated view of management for Excellence,  to enable the participants acquire the assessment skills for measuring the effectiveness of various management initiatives taken by an organisation towards achieving Excellence and to prepare potential assessors for the CII-EXIM Bank Award for Excellence.

11 participants from 6 companies like Max New York Life Insurance, JBM, Kuoni Destination Management successfully completed this four day certification workshop. The faculty for this programme was Mr S K Kakkar and Mr C V Subrahmanyam.

30 July 2007: India Habitat Centre, New Delhi
Training module on GHP, GMP, HACCP and the ISO 22000

CII- IQ Food Safety and Quality in partnership with Quality Council of India and Ministry of Micro Small Scale and Medium Enterprises conducted a one day Training module on GHP, GMP, HACCP and the ISO 22000 at Delhi, India Habitat Centre. The interactive program received an enthusiastic response from Owners and Key Staff of mainly Ethnic Snack makers and Indian Sweet makers of Micro Small and Medium Scale industries. The delegate promotion was mobilized by the Ministry of MSME and it resulted in participation by 75 personnel from this important and huge sector in Food Processing Industries.

The topics covered were importance and requirements of Safe Food, Microbiological, Physical and Chemical Hazards, Allergens, Pest Control, Hygiene Stations, Cleaning, Sanitation and Maintenance, Refresher Training requirements, Prevention of Food and Drug Adulteration Act and Food Safety Act 2006.

The program ended with a discussion on an Action Plan for implementing Food Safety Management Systems in their own units. The Feedback received from the participants was Excellent. Another 4 programs will be promoted by QCI and MSME for this MSME sector in the coming 8 months with CII FSQ as the Course designer and Faculty.
